Theatre BC is a registered charity and relies on our membership, government funding programs and, of course, the generous support of our corporate and private sponsors, to continue our mission of promoting and developing community theatre in our province.

MEMBERSHIP / PATRONAGE

Theatre BC Patrons :

• Individual Patron: $100/$300 - Includes one Individual Membership, public Patron recognition and a $70 / $225 charitable tax receipt for donation in support of Theatre BC.

• Family Patron: $100/$300 - Includes one Family Membership (for 2 family members with same residential address), public Patron recognition and a $55 / $175 charitable tax receipt for donation in support of Theatre BC

MAINSTAGE Patronage:
Those making the $50 donation will receive 2 Tickets to Opening Night Performance (or a Tax Receipt for full amount) and will have their names featured, prior to and during the festival, in lobby displays, in the festival program and Theatre BC newsletters. Your name will also be included on the Mainstage website, which remains posted as a perpetual archive.
Your patronage will be a valuable contribution to assist the Host Committee make your MAINSTAGE Festival a triumph!

Associate Membership :
Theatre BC offers this special membership category for professional and non-professional theatre companies and festivals, post-secondary theatre programs and institutions, theatrical suppliers, corporate supporters and associations that wish to connect with a vibrant provincial theatre community. Associate Members can opt into the Club Card Sponsorship program, offering discounts on tickets/services to our general membership.

Husky Community Rebate Program

Contact Theatre BC to get your Husky/Mohawk swipe card today! Use the swipe card when making purchases at Husky and Mohawk stations and Husky Restaurants and Theatre BC receives 2% of your purchase. There are no obligations and your contact information is not provided to Husky Oil. You contribute to your provincial organization by simply purchasing your fuel and other products from Husky and Mohawk.

SPONSORSHIP

MAINSTAGE Sponsorship:
Each MAINSTAGE festival provides numerous vital sponsorship opportunities, which cover many of the major costs of the festival, including the Thespian Award statuettes, volunteer recognition, program sponsors, Coffee Critiques, etc.

These packages range from large corporate sponsorships (up to $10,000) to smaller individual or private sponsorships (starting from $50). Each level provides the festival with vital funds to help make MAINSTAGE become a  successful and truly memorable experience for participants, audience members and the local communities hosting  them.

The rewards for MAINSTAGE sponsorship are many:  included with many sponsorship packages are free performance and event tickets, media and program recognition (ie: inclusion of your logo/name on event materials and the Theatre BC website, program advertising, public recognition at performances and other MAINSTAGE events.)  You not only receive the gratitude of audience and participants, but also the widespread prominence and public recognition your generosity deserves.

Zone Festivals:

Sponsors are also needed at the Zone Festival level in each of our ten zones, in much the same way as for the MAINSTAGE Festival. This is a chance to support your local theatre community and zone. Contact the Theatre BC office for details.

Canadian National Playwriting Competition & New Play Festival: Suspended-TBA 

The annual Canadian National Playwriting Competition is the biggest of its kind in the country, attracting well over 100 entries from all over Canada. What better way to support the development of new Canadian plays and playwrights than by sponsoring one of three major cash awards or becoming an event sponsor

The competition is followed -up with the New Play Festival weekend in Kamloops each spring. Winners and Finalists join professional dramaturges and actor/reader participants to workshop the plays. After the re-working sessions, Finalist plays are given a public reading and the three winning plays are given a staged public reading, all with the help of the registered actors/readers.
Become an event sponsor to help Canadian playwrights take their plays from 'page to stage'.

Theatre BC NEWS : Suspended-TBA
Place an ad for your production/product/service/etc. in the Theatre BC NEWS - our quarterly newsletter which is mailed out to 3500-4000 individual members, member clubs and theatre-related facilities. Each newsletter is also posted to the Theatre BC website (in PDF format) for unlimited viewership. Pick your ad size and rate from our selection, or negotiate your own. 

Website advertising:
Theatre BC also offers advertising on its extensive website at www.theatrebc.org
Web rotation ads and Banner ads can be purchased by the month. Rates start at:
Up to 65 pixels by 500 pixels - $50 Members / $65 Non-members per month for Theatre BC home page, Bulletins page or Playwriting Competition home page;
$35 Members / $50 Non-Members per month for all other pages.
Discounted yearly rates are available.

Advertising packages:
